A year ago, I wouldn’t have believed this.

Not that I’d be helping organise an author event. Not that I’d be sitting on panels talking about writing. And definitely not that I’d find so many “unicorns” aka other Estonian authors writing and publishing in English. But somehow, here we are.

On Sunday, April 19 at 15:00, we’re hosting a literary afternoon at REaD Bookstore.

The idea behind the event is simple: bring writers and readers into the same space and talk about how books actually come to life, what the process looks like behind the scenes, and what it means to write and publish today.

The first panel“So You Want to Write a Book?”, is about the reality of writing. Where ideas come from, how a story grows, and what the path to publication can look like (including Amazon publishing). The second, “Plot Twist: We Read,” shifts the focus to reading, like genres, tropes, favourite books, and the stories that shaped us as readers in the first place.

I’ll also have both of my books there (Library of the Unbound and Diary of the First Immortal), and I’ll be signing copies!

What makes this event special to me isn’t just the panels or the books. It’s the fact that this community exists at all. Writing in English from Estonia can feel like a very solitary thing, and yet there are so many of us quietly doing it. Getting to meet in person, to talk, to share that space, feels… kind of rare, in the best way.

The event is open to anyone — readers, aspiring writers, students, or just curious minds. There will be other local authors there as well, and books available to browse, buy, and sign. Mostly, though, it’s a chance to talk about stories with people who love them.

If you’re in Tallinn and this sounds like your kind of afternoon, I’d love to see you there.

Event details:
📅 Sunday, April 19
🕒 15:00–18:00 (approx.)
📍 REaD Bookstore
🎟️ Free entry

Library of the Unbound is now available on Booksprout.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, BookSprout is a platform where readers can access advance or review copies of books and, if they choose, leave an honest review once they’ve finished. There’s no expectation of a perfect rating, just genuine reader feedback, which is incredibly valuable for indie authors.

When Library of the Unbound was first released, I didn’t use ARC readers at all. I was learning as I went, and by the time I understood how helpful that process can be, the book had already found its way into the world on its own. With Book 2 of The Booktamer Chronicles coming this spring, this felt like the right moment to pause, do things a little more thoughtfully, and invite new readers in.

The requests are open until 14th of February.

Thank you, as always, for reading, sharing, and supporting my work in ways both big and small. It truly means more than I can put into words.

If you’re anything like me, your Kindle is already full… but you’ll still find a way to add just one more book. If that sounds familiar, I’ve got good news.

From 16 to 20 December, Library of the Unbound will be taking part in Stuff Your Kindle, which means you can grab it for free and add it to your digital shelves without guilt (or at least, with very little guilt).

Library of the Unbound is the first book in The Booktamer Chronicles, a YA/NA urban fantasy series set in an alternate Londinium . It follows Beatrix, a booktamer, when she accepts a job that’s clearly too good to be true. Things spiral quickly into forbidden knowledge, dangerous secrets, and the uncomfortable realisation that whoever controls knowledge also controls people.

Stuff Your Kindle is one of my favourite events as an indie author. It’s a chance for readers to discover new stories risk-free, and for authors to reach people who might never have stumbled across their books otherwise. If you’ve been curious about The Booktamer Chronicles but weren’t sure where to start, this is the perfect opportunity.

The event runs for five days only, from 16–20 December, and once it’s over, the book will return to its regular price. So if living books, ancient gods, slow-burn tension, and a main character with trust issues sound like your kind of thing, now’s the time.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who reads, shares, and supports indie authors. Every download, recommendation, and kind word genuinely makes a difference — and I’m endlessly grateful for it.

Happy reading, and happy Stuff Your Kindle!

— Tuuli

Hi there, and welcome!

If you’ve stumbled across this corner of the internet, chances are you love stories — the kind with a bit of magic, mystery, and mythology mixed in. This blog is where I’ll share updates, worldbuilding tidbits, and random thoughts about writing, books, and the slightly chaotic life of being an author. Think of it as a mix between a news board, a behind-the-scenes journal, and a peek into the worlds I’m building.

A quick recap of what’s been happening lately: on 11 October, Diary of the First Immortal took part in Stuff Your Kindle Day, organised by the Indie Author Revolution. It was a fun whirlwind, and I’m so grateful to everyone who downloaded, shared, or helped spread the word. Thank you!

Now for what’s next: Whispers of the Unbound, the second book in The Booktamer Chronicles, will be going out to beta readers at the end of November. It’s equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking to let other people peek behind the curtain, but I can’t wait to see what readers think.

I’ll be using this blog to post updates like that, but also lore snippets, writing insights, and maybe the occasional post about archaeology, myths, and other rabbit holes I fall into while writing. Basically, if it’s connected to storytelling, it might end up here.

Thanks for being here, for reading, and for joining me on this weird and wonderful journey. There’s a lot more to come — and I’m so glad to have you along for it.

— Tuuli
